Bridges to Build Syria (BTBS) and Sanad Humanitarian Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding in Luxembourg on 4 October 2026, setting a clear framework for cooperation, coordination and the exchange of expertise in development and humanitarian projects that serve Syrian communities.
The signing concluded the Forum of Syrian Civil Society Organisations, the first meeting of its kind organised by BTBS in Luxembourg, which brought together representatives of several Syrian civil society organisations to share expertise and discuss challenges and opportunities.
The memorandum lays the foundations for joint work between the two organisations. It opens the way for cooperation in designing development and humanitarian initiatives and projects, coordinating efforts and sharing knowledge and expertise, so that both partners can increase the impact of their work for Syrian communities.
The memorandum is a step towards institutional complementarity between two organisations working for the same goal: rebuilding Syrian people and society. Through it, both parties commit to a responsible partnership grounded in transparency, independence and service to communities first.
It follows the partnership agreement BTBS signed with Spring of Hope Association for Relief and Development in Latakia in July 2026, widening the organisation’s network of partners and strengthening its presence among Syrian civil society organisations in Europe.
