On 4 October 2026, at the first meeting of its kind organised by Bridges to Build Syria (BTBS) in Luxembourg, representatives of several Syrian civil society organisations came together to share expertise, discuss challenges and opportunities, and open new avenues for cooperation and coordination.
The meeting began with an introduction of the participating organisations. BTBS presented the organisation, its vision and objectives, and its first partnership inside Syria with Spring of Hope Association for Relief and Development, while the other organisations presented themselves and their areas of work.
An interactive session followed, in which participants discussed the main challenges facing Syrian civil society, practical solutions, and the opportunities to coordinate efforts and share expertise for the benefit of communities inside Syria.
The meeting concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between BTBS and Sanad Humanitarian Foundation, a step that reflects the spirit of the day: Syrian organisations working together, and bridges of cooperation reaching from Luxembourg to Syria.
